☼ George Byrne’s latest series of photo-collage dreamscapes, titled Synthetica, is just wonderful.

☼ I’ve wanted an e-ink computer for so long. A device I can take to the park or lie by the pool with, typing up my wildest dreams while sipping on a banana daiquiri with the sun smashing my Vacation-SPF-50-lathered face + laptop screen without issue. The very wise folks at Daylight Computer have answered my prayers with DC-1: “A new kind of computer, designed for deep focus & wellbeing“. I can’t wait to try this thing.

☼ Is there any reason to keep up with the news? (That’s gunna be a no from me dawg).
☼ Jimmy Buffett’s wild 2004 Ford E-350 Sportsmobile is for sale. Current bid? $80,000. A small price to pay to be able to almost-definitely survive any given end-of-the-world type scenario. Given Jimmy escaped a pterodactyl attack with two margaritas intact, I would trust this man with my life, and by extension, his van. The best part? A small collection of hats, a belt, and a selection of CDs and DVDs previously owned by Jimmy himself are part of the sale.
☼ The iconic high-end camera brand Leica just released their own camera app, with looks & lenses which authentically replicate shooting on a (rather expensive) Leica camera.
☼ Our Vacation® x Erewhon “sunscreen smoothie” has absolutely popped off – grab one at any Erewhon location in LA if you happen to be there!

Hand picked with the utmost care exclusively for the most fervent leisure enthusiasts…
☼ There’s a five-star hotel in Montana where you can, wait for it, dig for dinosaur fossils (!!!) I honestly can’t think of anything I want more right now. Portuguese customs aren’t even remotely ready for me marching back into the country with a triceratops skull in tow.
☼ Just released: watch the trailer for the upcoming film Widow Clicquot which tells the true story of the incredible woman behind the Veuve Clicquot champagne empire.
☼ This instagram account is someone exclusively someone spinning Japanese city pop songs on vinyl. I’m unfollowing everyone else right now.
☼ Deeply enjoyed looking through photographs from the finalists of the 2024 Palm Photo Prize. Get this never-ending stream of AI generated junk off my feeds and inject these glorious images into my veins. That very distinct softness of medium format photography never ceases to bring me joy. Images below by Joshua Atkins & Alessandro Iovino.

☼ If you’re a person who has about 400 apps on your phone, why not add a few more? This year’s Apple Design Awards features some bangers like Crouton (a recipes app), How We Feel (a wellbeing journal app) and Sunlitt (a very beautiful app for tracking the movements of the sun).
☼ Just look at this chandelier!
☼ What does a city that has spurned cars look like? Head to Paris this summer to find out: “Paris has closed more than 100 streets to motor vehicles, tripled parking fees for SUVs, removed roughly 50,000 parking spots, and constructed more than 1,300 kilometers (800 miles) of bike lanes since Mayor Anne Hidalgo took office in 2014.” That’s hot!
☼ And last but not least… Cher’s 1972 Ferrari Dino is up for auction!

Until next time!
See you online ☼
