Dearest internet friends,
Please excuse the delay in this issue's arrival. It's been all hands on deck preparing to bring our early testers in to take the Club Poolsuite platform for a spin. What we've created is a kind of perpetual taste machine - where every 2 weeks, one of the most interesting, high-taste people we know comes on and drops their very best recs (places, books, tools, apps, products, movies, brands, etc.) into our directory, and onto our global map. Alyssa and I are in Hong Kong right now, and it feels GREAT being able to instantly drop every hot place we stumble upon on the map, knowing you will all be able to check those places out in the very near future. We did the same in Austin and LA last month.
Our first two guests have already submitted their recs, and I've learnt and discovered a lot from what they've shared. What we're putting together feels genuinely unlike anything I've had access to before. Reading magazines and certain newsletters is kind of close, but I feel like my hit-rate for finding anything I'm genuinely interested in is pretty low, and recalling them when I need them is a whole other problem.
The website's design is inspired by the stacks of ultra-summer '80s magazines we've been collecting in Japan over the last 2 years. Our boy Bas has really outdone himself.
For now, please peruse the latest additions to the Club Poolsuite directory below!
PS. An important update from Vacation® land: Our first TV ad (!) begins beaming to television sets across the US this week. A few more to come...

🔗 Added to Resources → Design: My friend Andy and his world-class team over at Cosmos just launched V2 of their website and app. It's becoming, in my humble opinion, the greatest place on the internet for gathering visual inspiration, moodboarding, planning projects, and generally just developing your taste. They launched it with a beautiful ad starring Odessa A'zion. Here's my profile which is massively over-indexing on sound systems, interiors and '80s vehicles - who could've guessed?
🔗 Added to Places → Accommodation: There are some places on earth where you can find yourself trapped in another time. So if you hid your phone away, you might be able to imagine what life really felt like in that specific era. Asaba Ryokan in Izu, Japan is one of them. A pot of green tea and this view would be a pretty ideal way to start your day.
🧵 Added to Resources → Design: Behold this beautiful interactive website which hosts a world-class collection of Chinese cigarette packet designs. I don't smoke, but if anything was going to push me over the edge to developing the habit, it'd be these Cocopalm Softs.

The "highly leisure-enhancing" remainder of this newsletter is reserved exclusively for esteemed members of the pool.
You may unlock them all in the near future by joining the "soon to be legendary" Club Poolsuite in due course.
