Dearest internet friends,
Let's get straight to it, we've got two big things to cover in this issue:
NYC
Before we dive into what's next, an important matter of leisure: your invite to the Poolsuite & Vacation® ULTRADISCO soirée in NYC on Thursday, with Detroit legend Moodymann on the decks.

We're back at Le Bain atop the Standard Hotel for a night of disco-fueled reverie. Full info here. Doors open at 10pm - get down early, it'll be a busy one.
Members, as always, get guest list & skip-the-line privileges. Details are in the members' section further down.
I tried to send this email three times last week but couldn't find the right words to pitch this. So let me just paste from my journal instead...
I've been trying to figure out exactly what I want Poolsuite to become. The survey we ran a few weeks ago brought in so many thoughtful responses, and it left me thinking a lot about the crossover between what everyone wants, and what I personally want to spend my time on. My current interpretation of the good life is waking up and working on whatever I actually want to work on every day; not what I think others want from me. And these days I don't really want to curate things in solitude - be that the music for our site & apps or the things we feature in the newsletter. I want genuine collaboration and community at the core of everything. It feels empty without that.
I want to bring the best people I know together, a tight-knit crew of uplifting and inspiring individuals who care deeply about exploring the many interpretations of the good life. People with impeccable taste and big ideas. I want to know which books changed their life, what apps are on their phone, what incense they're burning in their living room, and where they go on a lazy Sunday afternoon. And I want to catalog all those things in a central directory to share with our members.
Thankfully, what the survey told us, is that's pretty much what our audience wants too.
What this takes shape as, at least initially, is a community-curated black book and accompanying chat room dedicated to answering one question: what's actually worth our attention? Each issue of the Club Poolsuite newsletter will reveal the latest additions and discoveries. We'll invite the most interesting people we can find to build it out with us across places, music, objects, spaces, media, gear, etc. The directory will be searchable and all the IRL places will be available on an interactive world map.
So we're killing the name Palm Report, and bringing in Club Poolsuite.
We've turned off membership upgrades until the v1 of Club Poolsuite is ready. If you're already a member, things will continue as usual, but we'll switch up the format a bit to reflect the new approach.
I'll keep you updated as we build this out.
