A music device ☼ A book to buy ☼ Making better decisions

Dearest internet friends,
Welcome to this week’s instalment of what’s hot in life & leisure.
Can't wait to see a bunch of you in Miami in 10 days – if you're in town for Art Basel and want to come along, grab tix here (premium members read to the end for an exclusive link). We just added Kito, Cezaire & our boy Raphael Futura to the already-poppin line-up alongside Dabeull, Breakbot & Yasmin.
Much love ☼

☼ Meet Orchid by Tame Implala's Telepathic Instruments: "A chord generating hardware synthesizer developed for songwriters, producers and musicians to expand the possibilities of songwriting and musical exploration".

☼ New design inspiration source just dropped: old sugar cube packets.
☼ Richard Christiansen, the ever-inspiring founder of Flamingo Estate, just released a new book concerning the good life titled The Guide to Becoming Alive: "Last August I sat in the goat shed and started writing a book. It was the kind of book I NEEDED to read. I was hungry to learn about how to live a GREAT life — not just a good one. I wanted to hear directly from my heroes about how they found their way to happiness, greatness and joy. And how they found their way out of mediocrity and darkness".

Hand picked with the utmost care exclusively for the most fervent leisure enthusiasts…
☼ In the early 2000s, artist Pierre Sernet travelled to over 30 to perform a Japanese tea ceremony with strangers: "The installation saw Sernet set up a “Tea Room,” denoted by a wood cube, in different global settings. He then sat and waited for a volunteer to participate in the ceremony and drink the cup of matcha that he prepared in front of them"

☼ I've been thinking about adding a cassette tape player to my analog hifi setup at home and just stumbled upon this one from NIMN Lab. I spend a lot of time digging around in vintage stores and there's always stacks of cassettes for cheap, especially compared with the cost of the same albums on vinyl. This thing isn't going to give you audiophile quality sound, especially not through it's built-in speaker, but you can bypass that via the stereo out. The included Bluetooth-receiving cassette tape also allows you to turn any vintage boombox into a Bluetooth speaker... it might indeed be time to pick up a Sony Sports CFS-950 & stream Poolsuite FM right into it.

☼ Lab.zip is a collaborative encyclopedia featuring an extensive collection of fashion garments curated by their community.
☼ This book features over 1,900 vintage family photos of people placing their hands on objects.

☼ An important beach/leisure innovation: Discover the sand safe.
☼ Whoever made this new sake brand has done an excellent job, can't wait to try it while in the US this month. Beautiful work!

☼ You won’t want to hide these speakers behind a plant. This collaboration between Tom Fereday/Pitt and Giblin is a brutalist dream.
☼ I really love Justin Monarch's YouTube channel. His latest video about making better decisions is a gem.
☼ If you want to come along to our Poolsuite x Vacation® Corporate Disco on December 7 in Miami, reply to this email and we'll make sure you get members-only ticket pricing & ability to skip the line, as as dearly-beloved supporter of Poolsuite.
Until next time!
See you online ☼
